Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Topher! Hi! I'm pleased you have dropped by my little corner of the Internet.

Ever since I was young, I've been writing. It is literally my favorite thing to do, and perhaps it is what I do best. (I am simultaneously proud and disappointed with this fact, but, as I often say in life, "Meh.")

Here at Topher's Realm, I often write about things which interest me. I hope to entertain, but I also aim to inspire others who might be on the fence about doing creative projects themselves. As I grow older, I'm discovering how important it is to take time to actually create. I've worked many "jobs" that would have quickly replaced me without batting an eye, so actually creating something of myself that I can leave behind has become more and more paramount. (I don't have, want, nor can afford kids, so writing fills that particular function for me.)

Case and point: My sister died of breast cancer in 2010. Our stories can literally end at any time. If I am to suffer a similar fate—and let's face it, each of us will—I am determined to leave a gift behind.

Hence, this blog! (I've also published some books as well!) By reading, hopefully you'll get a sense of who I am (or was) as a person. I've never liked writing short biographies, because there is way too much to know.
